Rules

Goal: Name the 8 starting riders for a given team, race, and year.

How it works: Type a rider's name to guess. There's no penalty for a wrong guess, but the clock is ticking.

Hints: You have 2 hints. The first shows the rider's flag. The second adds their initials too.

Give up: Give up at any time to reveal the missing riders.

Goal: Place each rider in a category they fit before the deck of riders runs out.

How it works: There are 10 categories and a deck of 25 riders. A rider's name appears, and you click a category that rider fits — for example, ‘TDF Stage Winner.’ Once a category is filled, it can't be used again. A wrong guess removes an extra rider from the deck, so when you're unsure, it's better to skip than to guess wrong.

Goal: Build the longest streak by guessing which rider has more Grand Tour stage wins.

How it works: Two retired riders appear. One rider's total Grand Tour stage wins is shown; the other is hidden. Guess whether the hidden rider has a higher or lower total. Guess right and your streak continues — one wrong guess ends the run.

Goal: Guess which pro rider said each quote.

How it works: Read the quote — sometimes just a line, sometimes a full back-and-forth with the interviewer — then pick from three riders. Either way, you'll see who really said it and a link to watch the clip. There's no penalty for guessing wrong: click Next to keep browsing until you've been through every quote.

Goal: Build the best 8-rider squad you can with $40.

How it works: Riders are sorted into four types — Sprinter, Time Trialist, Puncheur, Climber — and priced from $1 to $8. Pick any 8 riders, from any types, without going over budget.

Scoring: Every rider has hidden ratings for sprint, time trial, hills, and mountain. You can't see them while drafting — that's the test. Once your squad is full, your three best riders in each category are added together for a score, and every rating is revealed. A rider's type is only how they're grouped; their ratings count in all four categories.
